Stamps by profession are not company stamps with a different name on them, and professional stamp requirements are not a matter of taste. Most trades have one line that a licensing body cares about, and getting that line right is the whole job.

What follows describes common commercial practice rather than giving legal advice. What a regulated mark must carry is set by the licensing board or council that issued your credentials, it differs sharply by country and by profession, so check the requirement with your own board before you have one made.

Doctors and dentists

Name, qualification, and the registration or council number. The number is the line that matters: it is what a pharmacy checks. Prescriptions in many countries also require the practice address and a contact number.

Notaries, commissioners for oaths and justices of the peace

Name, the words Notary Public or the local equivalent, the jurisdiction, and often the commission number and expiry date. This mark is regulated in most places, and the commissioning authority sets the wording, the size and sometimes the shape. Follow theirs, not a template.

Engineers, architects and surveyors: the PE seal and the registered architect seal

Name, the licence or registration number, the discipline, and the state or province. Drawing offices often need the seal as linework rather than as a picture, so it can be inserted into a CAD file and plotted, which is what the DXF in the CAD pack is for.

The accountant stamp and the auditor's seal

Firm name, the professional designation, and the membership or practice number. Audit work also uses dated received and reviewed stamps on working papers, where the date is the point.

Lawyers and advocates

Name, the words used locally (advocate, attorney, solicitor), the bar or roll number, and the chambers or firm. Certified copy work usually needs a separate certification stamp with a signature line.

The teacher stamp and the school seal

A school seal carrying the school's registered name, and a set of small marking stamps. The principal's mark usually adds the title and a signature line, because it goes on letters and reports that leave the school.

Bank and finance

Branch stamps carry the bank name, the branch code, and a date. Endorsement stamps carry fixed wording that the bank itself specifies, often including For Deposit Only and an account number.

Pharmacies and clinics

Premises name, licence number, and the pharmacist's registration where the mark goes on a dispensing record.

Government departments

Set entirely by the department. If you work for one, the pattern is issued to you.

The one professional stamp requirement common to all of them

Do not make a mark for credentials you do not hold. Putting another person's registration number, or a professional body's name you are not a member of, on a stamp is impersonation, and using it is forgery. Design for the licence you actually hold.

What goes on a medical doctor prescription stamp with a licence number?

Commonly the name, the qualification and the registration or council number, and a prescription stamp often carries the clinic address as well. What is required is set by the medical council or board you are registered with and differs by country, so check your own registration rules.

Can I make a professional engineer digital PE seal?

That is decided by the licensing board in your jurisdiction, and boards differ on it: some accept an applied image, some want a digital signature with it, some still require a wet seal on the original. The board is the only authority on the question.

Is a notary public digital seal PNG accepted?

You can design one, and the file will be correct. What no tool can give you is the credential: only produce a mark for a registration, commission or licence you actually hold, and check what your board accepts before you rely on it.
